STARS HIDE YOUR FIRES

Cleaning out my harddrive and editing travel photos from years ago that have been sitting there for ages. Only in China during Chinese New Years do you get such proximity to fireworks (hand-held, to be blasted over a safely open space with lots of water).

And honestly, you can't really plan for these things - it's adjusting the settings to the best of your capabilities and then snapping as fast as possible and hoping you get some shots in-focus (if slightly blurry). Some you could catch in full explosion, but there's a certain charm to the dying embers as well, I think
